With live applications timing is key and knowing exactly how long it will take for measurement to be logged/perceived is of paramount importance. OxTS navigation systems have an extremely low latency for the measurements they provide, the following diagram shows the general figures that you can expect to see from an RT system, including the transmission latency of the potential medium.
NOTE:
These timings are for a system during live operation, in post process each navigation packet would have been time stamped and this stamp is finely synchronized to GPS time (well below 10 microseconds).
