Mobile mapping provides a means to quickly and efficiently map a specific area, however when collecting data, the accuracy, precision, and frequency of measurements can vary dramatically depending on the environment where the survey is taking place.
A mobile mapping system therefore needs to be able to collect data in such a way that users can locate, and position features of interest collected by the mobile mapping vehicle while it is in motion.
Join Paris Austin, OxTS Business Manager for this webinar, when he will discuss why it is important to use an inertial navigation system (INS) when conducting a mobile survey.
During the webinar you will learn:
- Why a GNSS-only approach isn’t enough
- What sensors should be used to create a complete mobile mapping solution
- The benefits you will realise by using an INS alongside other sensors
