What is the difference between the number of satellites used, and the satellites tracked?
In Enginuity the Performance or in NAVDisplay using the Performance Template, the fields showing the number of 'used' satellites, while the Calibration window shows the number of 'tracked' satellites. The difference in number will be the satellites that are rejected due to poor confidence in their range readings.
For a valid solution RTK Integer requires 6 satellites minimum, so it is possible the 6 tracked satellites are not accepted to the required level that RTK Integer needs—tracking both L1 and L2 satellites. If only 5 satellites have L1/L2 tracking, it will be waiting for that last satellite to kick in before changing mode.
What is the running temperature of an RT?
An RT usually runs 20–25°C above room temperature, and the relevant fields in Enginuity to look at are:
297 IMU temperature
205 Primary GPS core temperature
214 Secondary GPS core temperature
The temperature tests our production team perform are within the RT specification i.e. -10 to 50°C.
